1890  History of Private Joint-Stock company «Dneprometiz» leaved the roots in XIX century, and begun when the Joint-stock company of metal factories of German industrialist Bernard Gantke have organized a metal factory in Yekaterinoslav (nowadays — Dnipro) in Kaidaki village. 550 workers and 20 employees worked at the factory. The gear of the machine-tools equipment was carried out by the steam engines capacity of 350 horsepowers. Illumination was electric.

1902  The plant was bought out by the German society of the Russian iron industry. By that time, the plant was producing 900 thousand poods (14 400 tons) of nails, bolts and wire per year. In 1909, the same company acquired, which had ceased its activity, the Nizhnedneprovsk carriage plant of the Franco-Russian joint-stock company, which is located half a kilometer from the eastern mouth of the Nizhnedneprovsk station, with direct adjoining to the tracks of the Yekaterinoslavskaya railway. The equipment of the Kaydak Wire and Nail Plant was transported and installed on the site of the former Nizhnedneprovsk Carriage Works.

1910  The enterprise, named «Wire and Nail Plant» of the Russian Iron Industry Society, began to produce products (wire, nails, bolts, nuts and railroad fasteners). Therefore, the birth of the Nizhnedneprovsk metalware plant should be counted from April 1910. In the first year of its existence, the wire and nail plant produced 1600 tons of products.

1912  The construction of a new workshop for solid-drawn pipes began and in 1913 was completed and the plant began to include two productions: hardware and rolling.

1914 As a result of the war with Germany, the plant was sequestered by the tsarist government in the interests of the state. During the war, the production of military products was organized at the plant. In 1914-1915, the production of hardware reaches 32125 tons. in 1916-1917 — 23321 tons. In 1916, the wire-nail and bolt-crutch shops burned down, and, despite the fact that they were restored in six months, the production of the plant (wire, nails, fasteners and pipes) continues to fall sharply: in 1917-1918 -1700 tons, in 1918-1919 — 720 tons, in 1920-1921 — 310 tons.

1917  After the February Revolution of 1917, the Provisional Government sold the plant to a joint-stock company of southern Russian metallurgical plants, but in January 1918 the plant was nationalized by the Soviet government.

1921  In June 1921, the plant, as a state enterprise, is part of the Yugostal trust. In 1922 the plant was named «Karl Liebknecht Plant».

1939   In 1939, hardware production was separated from the Karl Liebknecht Plant and transferred to the Glavmetiz system as the Nizhnedneprovsky Metal Products Plant, which produced 129 thousand tons of hardware per year at that time.

1941   In 1941 the plant was evacuated to the city of Magnitogorsk, and after the liberation of the city of Dnepropetrovsk from the Nazi invaders, from December

1946   After restoration and reconstruction, the steel wire shop was put into operation.

1947  The nail shop was restored and put into operation.

1948   The fastening shop was put into operation.

1952   The coating workshop was built again.

1960   The barbed wire workshop was built again.

1961   The shop for flux-cored wire and ceramic fluxes was built.

1962   Consumer goods workshop was built

1968   Steel wire shop No. 2 was built

1975   A new electrode shop was built. Based on the Nizhne-Dneprovsky Metalware Plant and the "Krasny Profintern" Plant, the Dnepropetrovsk Metalware Plant was established, which was renamed in 1980 to the Dnepropetrovsk Metalware Production Association. During this period, the enterprise comprised 27 shops with a workforce of over 6,000 people. Over the years, the production volume of metalware in the association increased fivefold.

1994  On March 31, 1994, the state enterprise "Dnipropetrovsk Metal Products Production Association" was transformed into an open joint-stock company by order No. 89 of the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine, with the Ministry of Industry of Ukraine as the founder. On June 30, 1995, a certificate of registration was issued for the open joint-stock company "Dnipropetrovsk Production Association of Metal Products" (OJSC "DniproMetiz"), which did not include any state-owned shares. In the following years, the enterprise underwent a reconstruction of the metal coatings workshop: a new high-performance wire galvanizing unit was installed, the barbed wire section was reconstructed with the installation of imported equipment, and the production of metal fiber was mastered.
